Reiki For Headaches Methods That Go Beyond Self-Treatment

Using Reiki for headaches can be a very effective approach.

But first, you need to understand why such imbalances occur and where they come from.

Learn what a migraine is from an energetic standpoint and what Reiki techniques to use for best results.

Why Headaches Occur At The Energetic Level

We live fast-paced lives, and we’re constantly exposed to different influences. It’s challenging to avoid them completely, but the good news is that we don’t have to.

Becoming aware of this phenomenon is the first step towards a balanced way of living. This is because you can work to improve your layer of protection while enjoying life as it is.

You can use Reiki for a variety of energetic imbalances that manifest in the physical plane.

These imbalances create breaches in the energetic fields allowing discordant energies and even entities to enter.

Unfortunately, we’re usually responsible for attracting them. We do so involuntarily through our way of living and perceiving what’s around us.

But, as Reiki practitioners, we strive to become better at repelling negative influences.

Yet, even when we’re at peace with ourselves, unwanted energies manage to get through.

That’s the reality of things.

The Dynamic Interaction

Beyond the physical world, there are many layers (planes) of existence. We are connected and interact with them through our own energetic anatomy, subtle bodies, and chakras. It’s a connection that greatly depends on our vibration and resonance.

Higher vibration means a potential connection to higher levels of energy, while a lower vibration facilitates the link to the lower planes.

Either way, we are constantly sending impulses of energy to these levels through our actions and thoughts. In turn, they answer with the same frequency.

Considering our current lifestyle, it’s quite challenging to maintain a high level of vibration. Add to this fatigue, stress, even anger, and the recipe for a breach in our system to occur is complete. They create “opportunities” to negative and/or allow residual energies to enter.

Of course, you can always choose to do something about it, and prevent, to some extent, the need of focused sessions like using Reiki for headaches.

The first step is to create a relaxing mood and spend time with yourself as often as possible. Light candles, burn incense sticks and listen to meditation music.

Going further up the ladder of options, the Reiki self-treatment is probably the most efficient way to find and maintain balance. Although this is the first option I recommend, there are situations when you need a bit more.

What does this mean…

Well, sometimes, we have a higher accumulation of negative energies in a single area. Therefore, those energetic fields have to be cleansed with more care.

An example of such accumulation is migraine.

What Is A Migraine From An Energetic Perspective

A migraine is a more severe form of headache usually felt on one side of the head. It’s common to feel dizzy and even nauseous because of it.

The energetic layers are always the first affected by negative influences. Untreated, the effect becomes present at the physical level as pain or discomfort.

A migraine is a cumulation of negative energies gathered together in one place, in this case, the head area. This affects the major superior energetic centers such as the crown and third eye chakras.

The source of this imbalance can vary according to the energetic quality of our environment and the people we interact with. Either way, it manifests as a broken or weakened energetic field through which the negative energy enters.

How To Use Reiki For Headaches

As mentioned, the Reiki self-treatment should be the go-to process for any issue.

It’s where you start healing at all levels and the base for anything you wish to accomplish with Reiki. It’s usually enough for most mild affections.

Assuming it doesn’t do the trick, here are a few additional steps to enhance the Reiki treatment for headaches.

  • First, locate the pain;
  • Use Sei He Ki Reiki symbol to pull out the negative energy and the combing method for cleansing the area. With your dominant hand, gather all residual energies in your non-dominant hand and throw them to the ground. – Remember that Sei He Ki is also a symbol for opening;
  • When you feel that there’s nothing left, apply Cho Ku Rei and/or Dai Ko Myo;
  • Hold your palms above the affected area for 10 minutes to regenerate it with pure energy. This will also help restore its energetic fields;
  • At this point, if you are attuned to Karuna Reiki, use Zonar and Halu for an increased effect;

The Sewing Technique

If you feel that the energetic field was broken, you can use the sewing technique to repair it.

  • You do this by activating Cho Ku Rei on your thumb, index, and middle fingers;
  • Visualize a needle made out of light;
  • Hold it between these fingers as you would do with a real one;
  • As you hold this needle, move your hand slowly and visualize how you sew the energetic field with pure light;
  • When done, gently pull the needle as if you would knot a thread;
  • Add Cho Ku Rei to seal the procedure;

In the end, it’s recommended to keep your palms on that area for a few more minutes to complete the regeneration process of that energetic structure. It’s a way to speed up the healing at a physical level as well.

The Dissolving Technique

This is another way to use Reiki for headaches.

Remember that this type of discomfort is nothing more than an accumulation of negative energies in the head area.

  • Visualize these energies as a large, black cloud that sits above your crown chakra and is connected to the physical part of your head;
  • In the middle of the cloud, activate Cho Ku Rei + Sei He Ki + Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen + Dai Ko Myo (if you are attuned to it);
  • When you do so, you’ll break it into multiple pieces. These smaller parts can be dissolved much easier afterward using the same sequence of Reiki symbols and/or the Reiki self-treatment;

NOTE: These methods work for any type of pain located at the physical level.

Reiki For Daily Headaches, Migraines, Or Tumors

When a headache becomes more severe, always consult a specialist.

As reminded before, this article is from a Reiki perspective, and any responsible Reiki practitioner or person, for that matter, should consult a medical doctor.

Using Reiki for headaches won’t affect the prescriptions nor the other way around because it complements allopathic medicine. You can read more about how we think about this concept in our manifesto.

Having said that…

A tumor represents a high amount of negative energy concentrated in one area. Therefore, it needs to be shrunk and eventually dissolved with counter vibrational energy.

Pay special attention to the area where the tumor is located. With Reiki, you can surround this area with pure light. You should have the clear intention of dissolving the tumor into the light.

Notice that compared to a regular Reiki self-treatment, now you are shifting your attention in a guided way, having a specific intention when channeling the universal life force energy.

Consistency over a long period of time is required. It’s the only way to possibly see improvements and even heal this affection.

Daily migraines, on the other hand, can have multiple causes. Still, they are also accumulations of negative energies that keep coming back.

At the spiritual level, there could be a Karmic cause. There might be debts from your present or past lives that have to be paid.

Even so, Reiki can help alleviate the pain from migraines. In this case, a lot more work has to be done to dissolve the karmic debts. Daily self-treatments are a great start, but you should consider Reiki projects and sending light at a distance.

When To Consider Using Reiki For Headaches

Occasional pains and migraines can be treated with Reiki fairly easily. It depends on the source, but usually, it’s nothing that goes too deep. That’s why focusing on yourself, and working to create a positive environment through meditation and Reiki, can go a long way.

If it’s a medical condition, always follow the advice of your specialist and use Reiki for headaches to complement the allopathic treatment.

At the energetic level, no pain comes without reason.

There’s always a root problem that has to be healed and it’s our job to do this introspection through Reiki and identify the issue.

When you understand that it’s crucial to work from within and not to address only the outside symptoms, you’ve taken the first important step towards true healing.

Reiki can help us access the deep levels of our existence.

Still, we’re the only ones who can allow the energy to flow through our mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.

  1. Thank you so much for your useful sharing about Reiki. I am attuned to Reiki2. I still do not feel so confident when it comes to intention. Is it before I call symbols or after? Is it possible to give few examples? I really appreciate.
    Thank you,

    Lena

    • Hi Lena and thank you for reaching out,

      If I have the intention of removing a headache, I activate my symbols on the palms and then follow the steps I have presented in the article.
      Indeed there’s the “alternative” when you can activate the symbols in your palms and then have the intention of removing that headache and proceed with the steps.
      So, usually, there’s no fixed pattern but the intention needs to exist at one point, preferably before acting with Reiki on a specific issue.

      Blessings!

  2. Hi
    New to Reiki, i wanted to ask about frequency of treatments.
    Probably the more the better, and the closer between sessions the better?
    Is there a minimum at which it will ne help?

    • Hi there Oded.

      It depends on the imbalance that you are treating.
      It also depends on each person – meaning how open they are to receive the treatment.
      Some imbalances can be resolved within one session, others need more time until they can observe results.
