The Power Of Simplicity

You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you do, you can move mountains.

Among the many Reiki techniques I had the opportunity to experience throughout the years, there’s one that made me rethink my daily practice.

It’s very simple … from a physical standpoint.

Yet, it has a complex effect on the spiritual plane.

This method is called the “cone of light.”

Its purpose is to help cleanse and protect your energetic bodies from unwanted influences.

This is not a miraculous way of ridding yourself of negative energies.

It’s more of a “boost” that will help you cleanse your energetic fields and centers to some extent.

You can use the cone of light before and after self-treatment.

It’s also useful when treating others, with their consent of course.

Become More Efficient By Focusing On What Matters

The simplicity of this method made me think about Reiki as a whole.

How this complex art form can be so simple yet so effective.

It’s amazing how powerful such straightforward techniques can be. This means that there are many other ways to simplify the Reiki practice.

But why do it?

Because you can eliminate confusion, or part of it, save time, procrastinate less, and better understand what you are healing. Not getting lost in too much information can actually be the best way to progress.

The Benefits Of Using A Cone Of Light

The cone of light is nothing more than “common sense”.

And … it only requires a couple of minutes.

We’re constantly exposed to the residual energies of the people we come in contact with and the places we visit. Of course, not all are negative. But, an extra layer of protection is always useful.

The best part is that this method doesn’t obstruct your ability to communicate with others. There will be no barrier of energy that will compromise your interaction with the outside world.

How To Do It

1. Activate the following sequence above your head: Cho Ku Rei Sei He Ki + Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen + Dai Ko Myo (if you are attuned on level 3 Reiki);

This is the tip of the cone. Through this sequence of Reiki symbols, you’ll activate the universal source of life force energy.

2. Visualize how a cone of light begins to grow from above your head down to your feet where a base is formed.

3. Activate a large Sei He Ki at the base of your feet. This will enable the residual energies to be “flushed” into the ground.

4. Relax and visualize how the light cleanses your physical, energetic, and spiritual bodies. On its way, it flushes down the unwanted energies that were stored in your energetic fields.

When you’re done, be grateful and at peace that you were able to do this exercise.

It’s simple and effective at the same time.

There are many more Reiki cleansing (like the group cleansing techniques) and protection techniques, but I find the cone of light to be the simplest of all.

Also, it has a lot of power without compromising your interaction with the outside world.

Following our theme today, I believe it’s good to simplify things in our life. Focus on what has the biggest impact and free up time while doing what’s best for us.

Use Your Breathing

Breathing is free. We do it all the time. Yet, we hardly notice it. Focus on your breathing every now and then and notice the improvements that occur to your awareness. In meditation, correct breathing is crucial for spiritual development. Moreover, it can provide the proper energy when we feel tired, stressed, or anxious. There are many benefits to conscious breathing so, don’t ignore it.

Simple Meditation

Keep things simple, even when you are searching for complexity. This applies to meditations as well. Sure, there are hundreds of hour-long meditations you can use to “travel” from one dimension to another. But let’s face it. We don’t always have the luxury to practice that long. To be honest, daily, 10-minute meditations can bring a lot of benefits. Keep it simple.

Stay Strong

We’re experiencing exciting times. This is different for each of us. Regardless, we all live in a fast-paced world that requires a healthy mind, body, and spirit. These elements are vital to staying sane in this environment. When it comes to our physical body, a proper intake of vitamins and minerals is essential. Even though these are accessible through supplements (the easy path), there’s always a more natural solution. Nevertheless, keeping a strong immune system can protect us from a lot of unwanted influences.

The Knowledge Is Out There

The Hindu, Buddhist, Hebrew, and Shintoist philosophies have many interesting spiritual lessons and concepts. It would take us several lifetimes to understand them all. Still, these 10 Indian thinkers significantly contributed to understanding the nature of life. They are like pillars that hold the world’s wisdom.
