Antahkarana – Why More People Should Pay Attention To This Symbol

Antahkarana represents a whole philosophical concept. It refers to the deep levels of the mind, ego, and emotions. It’s about how we can transcend them and how we can grow from a spiritual perspective.

What Does Antahkarana Mean

The word Antahkarana originates in Sanskrit – Antar means “interior”, or “within”, and Karana means “sense”, or “organ”.

But the subject at hand has a different reference – the Antahkarana symbol and its power.

Note: You might notice a similarity between the Antahkarana and the malevolent “Swastika” from Nazi symbolism. In their case, its purpose was to manipulate and dominate. The Swastika has nothing in common with the original Antahkarana – which is meant to cleanse, heal and connect to the Divine higher-self. Its purity and beneficial energy should be promoted and harmoniously used for our evolution as human beings.

Michele Griffith, the known clairvoyant, and healer, says that this symbol has its roots at the beginning of the lost civilization of Lemuria – on the Mu continent. That would make it about 100.000 years old.

The story goes that the world needed to reestablish their connection between their rational mind and their higher-self. At that time, the council of enlightened masters (lightworkers) created this symbol to aid humanity in its evolution.

Therefore this symbol represents a collective consciousness.

Anyone who uses it will develop a very strong potential for recreating and stabilizing the connection with their higher-self.

Even though its origins are unclear, this symbol appears on many Buddhist and Hindu statues or parchments. These days it’s used for spiritual cleansing and meditation.

About Its True Potential

First of all, we need to understand that this symbol has its own conscience, meaning it does not need a specific process of activation or a pattern for drawing it.

Its simple presence is enough to recreate the energetic structures of a room and the person(s) inside it.

Although Antahkarana is a multi-dimensional symbol in a two-dimensional representation, within it, it incorporates the number “7” three times.

This number is in strong connection with the existence of the 7 spiritual realms, the 7 chakras, and the 7 main colors of evolution (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet-white).

How To Use The Antahkarana Symbol

The most effective and important use of the Antahkarana symbol is its presence. By simply placing the symbol in a room, it will have a positive influence on the energy and people in that room.

With its shape, Antahkarana is able to literally cut the negative thoughts and energies that come close to it.

Amplifies Healing Energies

Whether it is a prayer, meditation, a Reiki or a simple massage session, Atahkarana will dispel any residual energies that might emerge from such therapies.

If placed close to you, the Antahkarana has the ability to start and enhance the Taoist Microcosmic orbit.

This is a Qi-Gong method of stimulating the energy centers, energy points, organs and meridians within the human body.

It’s a very helpful meditation for restoring the energetic balance of your whole body.

The energy that’s created will flow afterward through your chakras, cleansing and activating them in the process.

A Remedy To Help Heal Illnesses

By having this symbol in a room, it will directly cleanse the energy that enters and exits the chakras.

Two Antahkaranas (male and female) have the potential to effectively neutralize any type of residual and negative energy.

If we place crystals, water or jewelry between the two Antahkarana symbols they will be purified within minutes.

Considering that our body has such a high percentage of water, meditating on Antahkarana will bring extremely good benefits.

This symbol can help us connect to our higher-selves and generate inner-clarity. It greatly amplifies the power of intention, affirmations, and subconscious healing.

Meditating On This Symbol

Like with any other type of meditation, try to sit in a quiet place and relax.

Look at your Antahkarana symbol or simply visualize it. Allow yourself to go into a deeper stage of tranquility. This will calm and cleanse your mind and soul.

During these moments you may experience different fluxes of energy and information. You may have different visions or feel small shifts in the vibration around you.

By meditating for 5 to 10 minutes each day, you will strengthen the mind and your spirit.

Some Of The Effects You Might Experience

  • You will receive deep cleansing and awareness;
  • Your immunity will be stronger and your unconscious will slowly but surely begin to cleanse each day;
  • The sleep cycles should become deeper and more relaxed;
  • Your mind will be more focused and calm and your energy level will be in balance each day.

Types Of Antahkarana Symbol

The most common forms of the Antahkarana symbol are the male and female ones.

Antahkarana Female Symbol

You will notice that the female version of Antahkarana (Yin Antahkarana) has slightly thinner and shorter arms.

Antahkarana Female Symbol

This one has an emotional healing purpose and I recommended using it with the Sei He Ki symbol from Usui Reiki. This will help cleanse and activate the heart chakra and the third eye chakra.

This combination also has the potential to heal and awaken apathy or monotonous couple relationships.

Yin Antahkarana can be very useful for the past (even karmic) deep emotional traumas.

Antahkarana Male Symbol

The male version of Antahkarana (Yang Antahkarana) has slightly thicker and shorter arms.

Antahkarana Male Symbol

It is responsible for amplifying the energy fields of the Muladhara, sacral chakra, and the solar plexus chakra.

By doing so, Yang Antahkarana can boost your energy level and vitality.

It also has the ability to bring balance to the Yin and Yang energies that are within each one of us.

Oddly enough, when placed under the bed (or under the mattress), this symbol can help cure insomnia and generate the necessary energies for a night of deep and calm sleep.

Both versions of the Antahkarana also have intuitive uses, meaning that we may very well find new ways to apply these amazing symbols.

Antahkarana Square

It’s is a group of 16 small Antahkarana symbols, grouped to greatly amplify the healing energies and remove the negative ones.

Square

It is considered to have an even greater effect on the colors white with purple.

Usually, it is placed under the furniture, chairs or even under the pillow.

Antahkarana Cross

A total of 13 smaller symbols, intersected in the middle with a common Antahkarana.

Cross

This formation has a very high vibrational power and by placing it in a room, it will greatly enhance any therapy or cleansing procedure for the people involved.

Keep in mind that this symbol has the power to remove negative energies and even dark entities.

Antahkarana Of The 7 Spiritual Planes

This is similar to the other versions, with the only difference being at the intersection of the three arms. They are slightly separated and by doing so they can cut negative energies from a particular place.

Sacred Geometry Antahkarana

Usually, this is represented by a Yang Anthkarana within a form of the Sacred Geometry from Kabbalah.

Through this form, the concentrated energy flows as three beams of light. This creates a triangular-shaped power-prism that has a tremendous capacity for energy emission.

This symbol greatly amplifies the beneficial energy of a given place.

How To Draw The Antahkarana Symbol

There is no specific pattern for drawing the Antahkarana. If you feel up to it you can start drawing it on a large paper but this will take quite a bit of time.

I would suggest printing the one that resonates with you the most and put it in where you practice meditations, Reiki or prayers.

Where To Place The Antahkarana Symbols

This depends on your intuition and/or need.

The Antahkarana Square usually goes well under the chairs, tables, beds, pillows, even below an entire office.

Antahkarana Cross can sit on a piece of furniture or on the wall.

Yin Antahkarana – You can place it under the furniture as well as on the wall.

Yang Antahkarana – goes well on the wall that’s closest to you in order to enhance the vital energy and amplify your energy fields. Place it under the bed and it will help you have a very relaxing sleep.

Are you using this symbol regularly or just starting to experiment with it?

  1. Thank you so much for this lovely information that resonates deeply.
Please, if you are inclined, innerstand the irony, and unfortunate manipulation, of the 12,000 year old swastika was actually a symbol of life and eternity that was considered sacred for thousands of years and is so very sad that has become a symbol of hatred.

    • Hi Loretta,

I understand and agree with your view.

Indeed this symbol has great power and extremely old history. It was used for uniting the higher-self with the inner, deeper self and for thorough cleansing.

Unfortunately, not many people are aware of its origin and significance. Hopefully, that will change.

  2. Can the symbol be placed under the bed of someone who doesn’t use reiki and has insomnia? Or is this just for the use of the reiki practitioner?

  3. A friend told me to look into Antahkarana a while ago, but it came to my mind today and found your website. I didn’t know that this symbol is connected to Lemuria which I feel quite drawn to; do you know any other symbols that might be connected to Lemuria?

Multumesc, foarte folositor articolul. O zi buna! 🙂

    • Hi there Andreea.

So far I am not aware of any other symbols. There could be some from Shamballa MDH Reiki 352 secret symbols. You can try and meditate in order to connect to the ancient energy of Lemuria and see what you receive.

Blessings and thank you for your kind words!

  4. I’m not a Reiki practitioner so not sure how to do that, but I will look into this. This is the first time I’m hearing of Shamballa MDH, and it sounds interesting. Thank you!

    • Hi Andreea.

I was not aware that you were not a practitioner. The good news is that you can use (print and place) the Antahkarana symbol even if you are not attuned in any Reiki system. That’s because symbols (and especially Antahkarana) have their own energetic print. This means that they are able to emit their own vibration and energy when placed within a room. If you wish to learn more, we can chat on the email platform.

      Blessings!

      • Thank you. I will print and meditate with them, and see what comes up for me. I am curious to find out more, but not right now; will let you know if/when I do. Hope you have a good day.

  5. I am a Usui Reiki Grandmaster / Teacher. I had a vision of this Antahkarana symbol during meditation (about 2 years ago). At that time I did not know the name or its significance. But it was so overpowering that I could not forget it. I just knew that it was important. I tried searching on the net and knew the name but was not satisfied. Your article gave me an understanding of Antahkarana and now I will definitely use it.
    My gratitude to you.🙏🙏🙏

      • Hi Vlad,

Thank you for the information. This is the first time I am reading about this.

Can you tell us is there is a specific way to draw it? Like which line is first and which is next, or a direction in which we have to draw it?

My question comes from the way reiki symbols are written.

        Thanks,
        Gurpuneet

  6. Hi Vlad,

I feel like taking print of both yin and yang antahkarana symbols and place it on wall. Is is ok to place where other people also see it.

    • Hi there Nayana.

It’s absolutely fine to print both and place them in a place where people see them. Of course, it depends on their understanding. Place them where your intuition tells you to. I have one at my office right next to me and one in another room that others see it. It really helps cleanse the room and the people that walk into that place.

      Blessings!

  7. I have always loved this symbol but until reading your explanation had little information on it. Also it’s the first time I have seen it in green and white or that there was a tin and yang version. Thank you for the insights. Jill.

  9. Are you aware that Project Warp Speed used this symbol as their logo? What do you think they were trying to accomplish by using this in such a way?

    • Hi Brad. I was not aware of that and had no knowledge that this company even existed.

My guess is that having this symbol behind the organic representation had the intention of actually not seeing the symbol itself. But the true intention could be to “infiltrate” the subconscious (especially because it’s behind the organic representation) as it propels the idea of illness. This idea could be emphasized especially by the fact that it’s back pattern is black – which symbolizes an easier transition toward the shadow side- feeding fear. It’s just an idea…

  10. An actual advanced system of healing has been developed from these symbols. It is a Qigong system that focuses on health preservation, energetic maintenance, spiritual evolution, and much, much more. Much of the information being written about the Antahkarana online is wrong. There is a new system of called Sacred High Qigong that was developed in 2009, entirely based on the original form of Qi known as Antahkarana Qi. It will be available to the masses in the near future. There are many more symbols that have been brought in as well. There are specific meditations for each of the symbols. It is definitely a system that does not disappoint. I have been practicing the system since it was developed.

    • Thank you for sharing this.
Well more than most of my information regarding symbols comes from:
1 Experience with Reiki, and from various teachers in Reiki, Qi Gong, Dowsing, Theta Healing, Meditation, etc.
2 Specific books that have been written though extensive research by the authors.

Still, a question remains: How can you be sure that the information is wrong? A symbol is a spiritual token that acts as a key which unlocks a certain manifestation of the universal life force energy…

  11. Thanks Vlad, interesting article. Daniel I’m afraid I’m not convinced by sacred high qigong. We’ve already got a Japanese healing system using a Hindu symbol, but going further to combine a Hindu concept with the traditional Chinese medical model and claim it is “original” is nonsense.

    • Hi there Boris.

But have you ever thought that nothing is actually separated and that the origins of Hinduism, Buddhism, and even Shintoism are the same. To believe they were completely separated is ridiculous to say the least. Moreover, Chinese medicine had a quite a few elements in common with the Hindu energetic system. I can offer examples if you wish but that’s not the point. The point is that we’re not combining religious concepts but understanding how interconnected energy work is between all cultures.
